Little Simz is coming to CORE Festival
The British rap queen will be joining alt-J, Angèle, Goldband, NxWorries (Anderson .Paak x Knxwledge) and The Blessed Madonna in the Osseghem Park in Brussels at the end of May
Monday, February 20, 2023 - None other than the British rap queen Little Simz is coming to CORE Festival on Sunday May 28! The 28-year-old from London of Nigerian heritage was called “one of the illest doing this right now” by Kendrick Lamar and won both a BRIT Award and the prestigious Mercury Prize for her album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’. Little Simz combines hip hop, R&B, jazz and soul, always displaying her magnetic charisma and staggering drive: the Osseghem Park in Brussels is preparing for a breathtaking show.
CORE Festival takes place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May in the Osseghem Park in Brussels. Previously announced artists included a wide range of internationally renowned acts as alt-J, Angèle, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Denis Sulta, DOMi & JD Beck, Goldband, HAAi, Honey Dijon, KOKOROKO, NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge), Romy, The Blessed Madonna and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. More artists will be added to the line-up soon.
The Nigerian-British rapper and singer Little Simz released her new album ‘NO THANK YOU’ in December, barely a year after her last album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, for which she has been acclaimed around the world, beating Harry Styles for the British Mercury Prize. Previously, Little Simz was also invited on tour by Lauryn Hill and Gorillaz. Good news for her Belgian fans: get ready for her performance on Sunday May 28 in the beautiful Osseghem Park in Brussels during the second edition of CORE Festival.
At the end of May, CORE Festival will immerse festivalgoers in a captivating experience of music, nature, and art, at the foot of the Atomium and amidst the raw beauty of nature’s surroundings in the Belgian capital. Visitors will be treated to a fascinating mix of pop, indie, live electronic music, hip hop and alternative dance. The two-day boutique will also feature a selection of art, sound and light installations, more details will be unveiled soon.
