Friday, May 20, 2022 - In less than a week from now, the very first edition of CORE Festival will be kicking off. A brand new two-day boutique festival in the beautiful Osseghem Parc in Brussels. Rock Werchter and Tomorrowland are joining forces for this event and have already started building what is to become a total sensory experience. The enthusiasm is great. The weather forecasts are promising.
In addition to unique art, sound and light installations which illuminate the beauty of raw nature, the musical experience is of course key. From noon to 1 am, CORE Festival will present a particularly eclectic line-up on 4 different stages spread throughout the Osseghem Park. A fascinating mix of quality indie, hip hop, electronica, hyper pop and alternative dance will be presented.
Three new names are being added to the impressive line-up today. The newcomers are varied in genre, outstanding in quality. Jungle will perform on the Ardo stage on Saturday night. The British collective will bring their delicious hypnotic vocals and funky vibes to Brussels. Denzel Curry will undoubtedly set the Ardo outdoor stage alight with his devastating basses, razor-sharp lyrics, and ever-impressive and much-discussed performances. His previous performances in Belgium (Ancienne Belgique, Dour Festival, Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter) have earned him the reputation of a showman in the purest sense. Shygirl will close the Endoma stage on Saturday with a hyper-pop party. The release of her debut album, scheduled for September, is marked in the diaries of many music lovers. An absolute must-see! She will be taking the spotlight from The Blaze, who will be premiering their latest fairy-tale production at the Ardo. Jungle, Denzel Curry and Shygirl are replacing Stormzy, Celeste and Tems who unfortunately had to cancel last minute. With this last round of changes, the line-up is now complete. The full line-up of CORE 2022 can be found here.
